Senior Developer (Hybrid)
Location: Melbourne or Canberra
Part Time or Full Time
Role Description
This is a part-time hybrid role for a Senior Developer based in Canberra or Melbourne, with the option to work remotely for part of the week. The Senior Developer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining software solutions that enable seamless compliance with regulatory frameworks.
Responsibilities include software development, code reviews, troubleshooting, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality deployment and performance. The role also involves staying updated on industry trends and integrating new technologies to enhance system efficiency.
We’re looking for a Senior Developer with deep experience across modern AWS serverless architectures — including API Gateway, Lambda (Node.js v22), and DynamoDB or RDS — and a strong front-end background in Angular 20 with Material. You’ll work across complex API integrations (REST/JSON, GraphQL, SOAP/XML, WS-*) and contribute to secure, scalable multi-tenant solutions. Experience working within ISO 27001-aligned environments is highly valued.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proficiency in modern software development languages (Node.js preferred) and front-end frameworks such as Angular
- Hands-on experience with AWS Serverless (API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB/RDS) and building scalable multi-tenant architectures
- Strong background in API integration, including REST/JSON, GraphQL, SOAP/XML, and WS-*
- Solid understanding of software architecture, system design, performance optimisation, and secure development (ISO 27001 environments a plus)
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Ability to work collaboratively in small hybrid and cross-functional teams
- Prior experience in financial, payroll, or compliance technology is advantageous
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies
