The information your evaluation teams need

Product & engineering

API scope, integration boundaries, environments, versioning, implementation approach and customer responsibilities.

Security & risk

Hosting, data residency, access management, encryption, monitoring, incident management and business continuity.

Legal & procurement

Customer agreements, DPA, SLA, Product Data Sheets and the commercial model applying to the integration.

Architecture

SaaS infrastructure designed for embedded integration

Intaxio products are infrastructure services rather than standalone payroll, workforce or accounting applications.

Your application remains responsible for its users, workflows and business context. Intaxio provides the supported regulatory data, rule resources or gateway capability defined for the applicable product.

Architecture principles

  • Multi-tenant SaaS delivery
  • Australian-hosted cloud infrastructure
  • Logical tenant separation
  • Separated production and non-production environments
  • API-based access and controlled credentials
  • Monitoring and operational logging
  • Versioned service interfaces

Security controls for regulated workflows

Payroll, employment and tax integrations can involve commercially and personally sensitive information. Security is therefore part of the product architecture rather than an additional feature.

Access controls

Access to systems and customer environments is managed according to role and operational need.

Encryption

External service connections are protected in transit and supported stored data is protected using appropriate encryption controls.

Environment separation

Production and non-production environments are separated to reduce operational risk.

Logging & monitoring

Operational and security events are logged and monitored to support service management and incident response.

Secure development

Software changes move through controlled development and deployment practices.

Incident management

Defined processes support triage, investigation, containment and remediation.

Australian infrastructure

Australian infrastructure for Australian regulatory services

Production SaaS services are hosted in Australian cloud regions where specified for the applicable product. Specific data handling varies by service and is defined in the relevant product and contractual documentation.

Production services need defined operating expectations

An API embedded inside payroll, rostering or accounting software becomes part of the customer's own production dependency chain.

Intaxio maintains defined service-management and support arrangements for applicable production services, including production service availability, incident severity, response processes, planned maintenance, service dependencies, disaster recovery and defined exclusions.

The applicable contractual commitments are defined in the current Service Level Agreement and relevant Product Data Sheet rather than by marketing statements on this page.

Compliance data needs its own release discipline

For regulatory APIs, infrastructure availability is only part of the problem. The regulatory content delivered through the API also needs to be maintained.

1

Authoritative source

Identify relevant regulatory material.

2

Structured processing

Transform source material into supported data and rule structures.

3

Compliance review

Review supported regulatory content before production release.

Designed for integrations that need to last

Test before production

Integrate and validate supported services in non-production first.

API versioning

Manage technical changes through defined API versions where required.

Regulatory effective dates

Carry applicable time context where the product requires it.

Operational support

Handle production issues through defined support and incident arrangements.

Procurement documentation

Intaxio publishes documentation designed to make the customer and supplier responsibility boundary easier to assess.

Commercial model

Enterprise API licensing

Intaxio is sold as embedded software infrastructure, not as an end-user payroll or accounting product.

Commercial arrangements can include:

  • Agreed product and API scope
  • Applicable Award or regulatory coverage
  • Test and production environments
  • Expected capacity
  • Implementation and onboarding
  • Production support and service levels

Working with enterprise product teams

Larger integrations rarely belong to one stakeholder.

Product

Define the customer problem, product boundary and initial integration scope.

Engineering & architecture

Review API patterns, environments, data flows and technical responsibilities.

Compliance & security

Understand regulatory scope and support due-diligence assessment.

Legal & procurement

Work through commercial agreements, PDSs and procurement requirements.
